We are currently looking for a Regular, Full time, Exempt employee for the role of Manager - Business Development - Digital in our Business Development Department. 

Position Summary: 

The primary purpose of the Manager of Business Development Digital is to support and secure all insides sales for our Digital content platform that consists of client advertising, sponsorships, content syndication, and other sales opportunities in order to sustain and grow a strong profitable book of business. The manager will take direction from the Director of Business Development Digital and will collaborate with other members of the organization. The Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire sales administration process. They will collaborate with various professionals, so it’s essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. They should also be able to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals. The role entails a knowledge of professionalized sales, as well as the ability to explore and identify new revenue opportunities and implement growth strategies for the purposes of increasing revenue, and leveraging leadership skills to help other sales team grow and develop.

Location:

Pensacola, Florida : This position is strongly preferred to be located in the corporate office in Pensacola, FL. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee all sales opportunities, including responses to capabilities inquiries, RFPs, and sales renewals from current customers.
  • Manage the BD associates • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Represent the company's products to clients, partners and other relevant third parties, including presentations and demonstrations of capabilities and solutions, PR activities
  • Develop sales opportunities with healthcare media agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and other potential clients.
  • Establish a healthy, productive, and evolving culture within the sales department.
  • Human Resources - Organize the function with the appropriate quality and quantity of people to ensure all performance expectations are achieved. Recruit, develop, manage, retain and scale the team. Support and perpetuate the Company’s culture and HR processes
  • Planning – Participate and support the Company’s planning processes.

Education Required:

  • BA/BS Degree in business or marketing

Education Preferred: 

  • BS degree in Marketing

Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies with proven ability to build and lead all facets of a sales function.
  • Successful record of at least 2+ years and sales performance attainment in sales management and sales

Experience Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies
  • 2+ years’ healthcare industry • 2+ years’ in digital publishing industry
  • 2+ years’ selling to the pharmaceutical industry
  • 2+ years’ selling to ad agencies in the healthcare industry
  • 1+ years’ sales management Minimum of 1-year experience in rare diseases
  • Small company
